Integration with AIRWISE Air Quality System
MPCB, under Siddhesh Kadam’s directive, integrated its air quality monitoring data with BMC’s AIRWISE platform—a 72-hour pollution forecasting system that combines on-ground sensors with satellite data. The ₹3.6 crore project equips authorities with tools for early warnings, public advisories, and pollution trend analysis, making Mumbai better prepared for smog and seasonal air crises.
This move underscores Mr. Kadam’s vision for future-proof environmental governance. Instead of reacting to crises, AIRWISE enables anticipation and mitigation. With MPCB’s data ecosystem powering this predictive platform, Maharashtra is setting a precedent for data-integrated urban planning and climate response.
